Policies
Before you decide to take the roads less traveled, read High Altitude Adventure's policies for a better understanding of how your adventure will unfold.
Rental Hours
Our rental hours run from dawn until dusk, providing you with the longest hours in town. This schedule ensures that you can enjoy your time on the mountain without feeling rushed to return on time. Additionally, for a $50 fee, you have the option to pick up your vehicle(s) the night before your reservation. Completing the necessary paperwork in advance means you can keep the vehicle at your lodging and start your adventure early the next day.
Deposits
A deposit is required to hold your reservation. This deposit amounts to 50% of the total price, including tax. If you cancel your reservation within seven days of your reservation date, you will receive a full refund.
Reservation Cancelations
Please inform High Altitude Adventures at least seven days before your reservation date if you wish to cancel and receive a full refund of your deposit. If you fail to notify us more than seven days in advance, you will forfeit your deposit.
Weather
High Altitude Adventures operates rain or shine. We recommend bringing rain gear, as some of the best adventures unfold in the rain and snow. All vehicles are equipped with a roof and a full windshield to provide protection from the elements.
Vehicle Damage
Before your rental, you will document any pre-existing damage on the vehicle’s pre-ride checklist form. Should any damage occur during your rental period, you will be responsible for the costs of repairs and any associated labor needed to restore the vehicle.
Fueling
Your rental will be provided with a full tank of gas, which is more than sufficient to traverse the Alpine Loop. Please refuel at a local gas station with non-ethanol gas before returning the vehicle.
